Personal Profile
I received my PhD degree from South China Agricultural University in June 2008, did postdoctoral research at Okayama University, Japan and National University of Singapore from July 2008 to June 2014, and joined the School of Life Science and Technology of Guangxi University in July 2014. Since 2014, I have been honored with the following titles: Selected for the Guangxi Universities "Hundred Talents Program" for Attracting High-Level Overseas Talents, Recipient of the Guangxi Distinguished Young Scholars Fund, and Recognized as a First Batch High-Level Talent (E Level) in Guangxi.
Teaching and Research Achievements
I am the lecturer of two courses: Basic Biochemistry for undergraduates and Advanced Biochemistry for postgraduates. Currently, I have cloned a number of important genes from rice, conducted functional analyses on them, and elucidated their molecular mechanisms in metal toxicity tolerance and nutrient uptake in rice. The results have been published in PNAS, Plant Cell, Nature Communications, The Plant Journal, Plant Physiology, Journal of Experimental Botany , and other international journals, with me as the first author, corresponding author and co-author of 40 papers. I have been awarded three national funds and three Guangxi funds, two of which are from the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one is from the Guangxi Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Additionally, I have received the Special Fund for Young Talents of State Key Laboratories in 2018 and 2020.
